NPR Music Premieres New Song and Video from Rostam

For me, the idea of writing a song, recording it, making a video — it’s like, you go around the moon and you come back. You accomplish everything there was to accomplish … It feels like telling the whole story.”

Rostam’s new video Gravity Don’t Pull Me” premiered on NPR Music yesterday, and it’s stunningly beautiful. There’s dancers that ebb and flow like the song’s themes of heartbreak and healing. I also love that the video’s striking imagery is inspired by the symmetry of Persian rugs.
